Ashok Kumar Lahoty

Biography

Ashok Kumar Lahoty is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India and a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, United Kingdom. He holds an MBA from National Law University, Jodhpur, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from MLV Textile Institute, Bhilwara. He has extensive experience working with international and domestic insurance companies across a wide range of functions. His professional background spans underwriting, reinsurance, investments, chief risk officer responsibilities, marketing, product development, regulatory reporting and actuarial functions. He has also contributed to several committees of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India. Mr. Lahoty currently serves as the Appointed Actuary of National Insurance Company. Before this role, he held senior management positions at Marsh and McLennan, formerly JLT India.
